About the Fitzhardinge Consort
Since 2000, the Fitzhardinge Consort has grown into one of the South West’s most exceptional choirs. Our goal is simple: to share world-class, rarely heard choral music with new listeners, while supporting education, outreach, and causes close to our hearts.
We’re known for fresh, imaginative takes on Renaissance and Baroque classics, as well as exciting new works by living composers. Our singers come from top professional backgrounds including The Sixteen, the Tallis Scholars, and choirs at Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral. Many also perform in major opera houses such as Covent Garden and Glyndebourne.
Though often heard at Bristol Cathedral, you’ll find us just as comfortable performing in small village churches and community spaces. We believe great music belongs everywhere, not just in big city concert halls. We’re also passionate about mentoring young singers, helping them develop and flourish in their musical journeys. Our Ethos
Clarity
Our clear, honest performances let the music shine. From rarely heard Renaissance pieces to modern choral works, we bring focus and fire to every note.
Creativity
We love exploring new ideas and fresh interpretations. Our programmes mix the old faithfuls with newly-commissioned music, keeping the music alive and exciting for singers and audiences alike.
Connectivity
Music is about bringing people together. We create meaningful moments between our singers, amongst our audiences, and through the communities we perform in.
Community
We’re open and welcoming to everyone. Fitzhardinge is about breaking down barriers and making exceptional choral music accessible, while supporting the next generation of singers through mentoring and outreach.

We invite experienced singers to get in touch. Drop us an email with your interest and we’ll get back to you promptly with further information.
