Under the direction of their new conductor, Jonathan James, The Fitzhardinge Consort brings their finesse and flair to a colourful selection of love songs from across the ages with Love Bade me Welcome.

Journeying from the rich textures of the Renaissance to the light-hearted charm of jazz and barbershop favourites, they present an evening full of warmth, wit, and irresistible variety.

This special performance marks the debut programme of Dr Jonathan James as he takes the helm of this distinguished ensemble in its 26th year. A familiar and much-loved figure in Bristol’s music scene, he brings decades of experience and artistry to this exciting new chapter.
